The Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), was founded in 1981 at New Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R professionals. ISHRAE has a total of 61 chapters/sub-chapters, including 6 international chapters. Additionally, our membership count stands at over 25000 which includes both regular and student members.
ISHRAE Objectives are “Advancement of the Arts and Sciences of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering and Related Services” by
- Continuing education of Members and other interested persons in the said sciences through Lectures, Workshops, Product Presentations, Publications and Expositions.
- Rendition of career guidance and financial assistance to students of the said sciences.
- Encouragement of scientific research.
ISHRAE UAE Sub Chapter is in its 3rd Society Year 2025-26 with 300+ members, 40+ student members.

MEERA 2026
“Middle East Engineering Recognition Awards (MEERA) 2026” are independent and merit-based awards hosted by ISHRAE UAE Sub Chapter recognized in 3 categories and are judged by independent jury members representing Government, Public, Private sector and comprises a panel of reputed professionals.

The awards event will be held February 2026 and invites participation from the Government sector, Engineering, Sustainability, facility management, manufacturers, product suppliers, contractors, etc. from MEP, HVAC & related industry.

It is my distinct honor and privilege to welcome you to participate in ISHRAE UAE Sub Chapter 1st initiative of Middle East Engineering Recognition Awards (MEERA) 2026 in the region.
These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements, innovations, and contributions of individuals, projects, and organizations that exemplify excellence in engineering, energy, and environmental sustainability. These awards are not just a recognition of excellence; they are a testament to the ingenuity, dedication, and vision that drive the engineering community in the Middle East toward a sustainable future.

MEERA 2026 Eligibility
- All nominations for all categories should be from the Middle East Region. Refer to the detail description for each category.
- One applicant can submit only one nomination in a single category but can submit multiple nominations across categories.
- A written consent shall be submitted in the nomination form.
- The applicants in all categories shall be prepared to share relevant data
requested by the ISHRAE Award Team. - All nominations in Stage 1 of the Awards shall be vetted by the Technical committee appointed by ISHRAE and only the eligible and short-listed nominations will proceed in Stage 2 for the Jury.
- If required Jury may request additional information or supporting documents.
- Self-nomination is not permitted for Individual Award Category, Nominator is required who should be from nominee’s company/organisation to nominate applicants for individual awards.
- For the category of Project Awards the application should be filled by any one of the concerned Client/Consultant/Design & Build Contractor with relevant permissions from the respective stakeholder to avoid multiple entries, only one application will be accepted for the same project in this category.
- The jury decision shall be final.
- If there are insufficient shortlisted entries in a category, the organising team may choose not to present an award.
