PROJECT AWARD – Retrofit Project of the Year

(7) Retrofit Project of the Year : The award recognizes an exceptional Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) retrofit project that demonstrates excellence in engineering design, implementation, energy optimization, and sustainability within the Middle East Region. This award celebrates a project that has successfully transformed an existing facility through innovative solutions, measurable performance improvements, and alignment with regional decarbonization and net-zero goals. The project that elevate building efficiency, enhance occupant well-being, and showcase exemplary engineering leadership in retrofitting existing built assets.

Evaluation Criteria:

  1. Project Completion : The project must be commissioned during 1st Jan 2023 to 31st December 2025.

  2. Sustainability Impact: The project should demonstrate sustainable practices aligning with regional and global net-zero and decarbonization goals. (Preferred: Project should have a working BMS with operating data available on a stakeholders’)

  3. Innovation & Creativity : Execution of project to solve complex MEP challenges through application of research, development and creative solutions in MEP Engineering through technical expertise 

  4. Overall Project Impact : Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, stakeholder collaboration, measurable outcomes of community impact.

  5. Any other that supports the nomination
